I apologize for the week-long posting silence. It’s a busier season at work and I’m also preparing to be out of the country for a few days, in order to attend the Third International Symposium on the Theology of the Body.
I had really hoped to attend the previous symposium, held in Ireland in 2009, but circumstances didn’t allow. I’m very grateful that my present job includes standby flight privileges with Delta, which means I can travel for a fraction of the cost.
I will resume my reflections on The Splendor of Truth in the coming days, but don’t be surprised if they are flavored by the wider project of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. I’ll be travelling with Dr. Michael Waldstein’s updated translation of the audiences, and look forward to hearing him speak at the symposium, along with Dr. Peter Colosi, Dr. Janet Smith, Dr. John Crosby, Christopher West, and others.
